    Product Description

    AZD 1979 is an antagonist of melanin-concentrating hormone receptor 1 (MCH1; IC50 = 11 nM).1 It is selective for MCH1 over human-ether-a-go-go (hERG) and MCH2 (IC50s = 22 and >40 µM, respectively). AZD 1979 (60 µmol/kg, p.o.) reduces food intake and body weight in wild-type but not Mchr1 knockout mice in a model of diet-induced obesity.2
