1-(1(Z)-Hexadecenyl)-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is a plasmalogen that contains 1(Z)-hexadecenoic acid and linoleic acid (Item Nos. 90150 | 90150.1 | 21909) at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, respectively. It inhibits lead-induced decreases in viability and lead-induced increases in reactive oxygen species (ROS) and oxidized phospholipids in HepG2 hepatocytes.1 Serum levels of 1-(1(Z)-Hexadecenyl)-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine are decreased in dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease when fed a diet including medium chain triglycerides, fish oil, carnitine precursors, magnesium, and antioxidants.2
