    Product Description

His-tag Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody - Biotinylated is a probe for the immunochemical detection of histidine tags on recombinant proteins. Recombinant proteins are commonly labeled with affinity tags, such as six histidine residues (6x-His), to facilitate both their detection and purification.1 Poly-His tags are commonly utilized because of their small size, low potential to interfere in protein folding or activity, weak immunogenicity, and high affinity for transition metal ion matrices, such as Ni2+, used in immobilized metal-affinity chromatography (IMAC) for protein purification.1,2 Cayman's His-tag Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody - Biotinylated was produced as a recombinant protein using an engineered construct based on a monoclonal anti-His antibody. This antibody can be used for ELISA and Western blot (WB) applications. It recognizes proteins containing internal, N-, or C-terminal 6x-His tags and is recognized by anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies.
