    Product Description

Gastric inhibitory peptide 1 (GIP-1) (3-42) is a peptide fragment of the incretin hormone GIP (Item No. 25004) and a GIP receptor antagonist.1 It is formed from GIP by serum dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DDP-4). GIP-1 (3-42) (100 nM) reduces insulin secretion from BRIN-BD11 pancreatic cells. It increases plasma glucose levels and decreases plasma insulin levels in an ob/ob mouse model of diabetes when administered at a dose of 25 nmol/kg.

WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
