DOWNLOAD NOWSulfalene is a sulfonamide antibiotic and an antimetabolite of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA; Item No. 18659).1,2 It is active against dapsone-sensitive Mycobacterium sp. 607 (MIC = 3.6 nmol/ml), also known as M. smegmatis, and P. knowlesi in vitro. Sulfalene (0.5 mg/kg) cures parasitemia in P. knowlesi-infected rhesus monkeys.3
