Continuing to Help Make Research Possible

Article from 2020-04-07

As a business that provides the products to support essential research for human health and well-being, Cayman has been operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We enacted policies to protect our employees and our local community while continuing to provide the kits, antibodies, proteins, biochemicals, and contract services you depend on to keep your research going.

At this time, you can anticipate the same speed and service you have come to trust from Cayman. We will update this page if there are any changes to our policies or practices, so please check back. If you have any question or concerns, you may contact Customer Service.

We understand how important your work is. Here are a couple things we offer to help make your research possible:

Responsive Technical Support and Customer Service Teams

Since getting back into the swing of things can be challenging, our technical support and customer service teams are ready to help you with any questions you may have.

If you have questions about products, applications, protocols, or are experiencing issues at any step of your research, contact our Technical Support team at (888) 526-5351 or techserv@caymanchem.com.

Find the answers to your questions about shipping, orders, and procurement by contacting our Customer Service team at (800) 364-9897 or custserv@caymanchem.com.

Restock Your Lab

Do you have products that expired or will expire due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic? We want to help. We will work with you to provide discounts on replacing expired research products, including Cayman products and comparable products from other suppliers.

Contact our Sales team and let us help you get your lab running again.

New Tools for Coronavirus Research

Our scientists are devoting their expertise to developing new products and services to support coronavirus research. We offer an Antiviral Screening Library, an Anti-Inflammatory Screening Library, and an FDA-Approved Drugs Screening Library to help identify compounds with therapeutic efficacy for COVID-19 and antiviral drug standards for use as internal standards for therapeutic monitoring and quantitative analysis. We also provide SARS-CoV-2 and host cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) proteins and antibodies to study the process of the viral spike protein binding the ACE2 receptor as the mechanism of viral entry into the body. The SARS-CoV-2 Spike-ACE2 Interaction Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit and the SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 RBD-ACE2 Binding Cellular Imaging Assay Kit enable the identification of novel inhibitors of the virus-host cell interaction. The SARS-CoV-2 Main Protease Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit provides a platform for identifying novel inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro, one of the proteases required for processing viral polyproteins into non-structural proteins. Serological tests including the SARS-CoV-2 Neutralizing Antibody Detection ELISA Kit, SARS-CoV-2 Neutralizing Antibody SimpleDetect ELISA Kit, and Q-Plex™ SARS-CoV-2 Human IgG (4-Plex) Qualitative (EUA) can detect SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibodies, which are critical for epidemiological studies, therapy and vaccine development, workforce testing, and immune response monitoring. Additionally, we synthesize high-quality lipids, including anionic lipids, cationic lipids, neutral phospholipids, PEGylated lipids, glycerolipids, sphingolipids, and sterol lipids to develop lipid nanoparticles that can be further be characterized and formulated for use in vaccine delivery. Finally, our in silico modeling contract services are being used to identify drug-SARS-CoV-2 protein interactions to predict binding of investigational therapeutics.
